Located on the Southeast corner of Lake Sam Rayburn in the Rayburn Country area our park is in a rural setting with city life close by . We are less than a mile from Rayburn Country Club and Golf Course, both of which are open to the general public. Rayburn Country Golf Course is located in the rolling hills and stately pines of the Piney Woods of East Texas and has 18 holes to challenge golfers. The dining room at the club house is a great place to relax after a day of fun and enjoy a meal.
Within two miles of the park is our own “Rayburn Mall” also known as Dollar General which carries a selection of groceries, over the counter medicine and general supplies. The Valero station is open 24 hours a day selling gasoline and diesel and has a selection of fast snacks and drinks and has a contract post office located inside. The Stump Restaurant and Club serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner as well. The Dam Liquor store can take care of your spirit needs and offers some great logo souvenirs. Hamburger Depot serves up their famous hamburgers and has pizza as well. From donuts to kolaches the Best Donut can take care of your breakfast needs. Rounding out the shopping is Needmore Tackle.
Within three miles of the park is the Umphrey Pavilion, home to many of the tournaments on the lake. The boat ramps at Twin Dikes Park as well as the Public Boat Ramp are located close to the pavilion. There is also a medical clinic.
A short 15 miles away is Jasper which has several restaurants, Brookshire Brothers Grocery store, Super Walmart, Lowes, boat dealers and other shopping, the Jasper County Museum and medical facilities including a hospital.
We are about 50 miles from Lufkin which has expanded shopping and restaurants as well as the Ellen Trout Zoo and the Texas Forest Museum. Other points of interest that are close to our park are The Big Thicket, Boykin Springs, Toledo Bend Reservoir, Spindletop in Beaumont, Steven F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, The Patricia Huffman Smith Museum in Hemphill honoring the Space Shuttle Columbia, as well as Fort Polk in Louisiana. There are also more festivals and events throughout the year than you can shake a stick at!
